The service

Disclosure is an AI-assisted productivity tool for patent professionals. It records inventor interviews, performs supported transcription and speaker diarization, creates structured disclosure drafts, assists with figures and prior-art research, and exports documents. Features may use a combination of on-device processing, your iCloud account, and third-party network services as described in the Privacy Policy.

Not legal advice

Disclosure is a drafting aid, not a law firm or legal service. It does not provide legal advice, establish an attorney-client relationship, determine inventorship or patentability, perform a complete prior-art search, or replace professional judgment. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular client, jurisdiction, filing, or deadline. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting every output before relying on it.

Confidentiality, privilege, and recording consent

You are responsible for complying with professional duties, client instructions, confidentiality requirements, recording and wiretap laws, data-protection laws, and restrictions imposed by courts, employers, or organizations. You must obtain all permissions required to record participants and process matter content.

Disclosure does not promise that use of the service will create or preserve attorney-client privilege or work-product protection. You must decide whether on-device processing, iCloud storage, Disclosure's backend, and the processors identified in the Privacy Policy are appropriate for each matter.

Your content

You retain your rights in the content you create or provide. You grant Disclosure a limited, non-exclusive permission to transmit, reproduce, format, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and support the features you use. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide the content.

Your account and security

You are responsible for your devices, Apple account, sign-in credentials, exported files, and activity under your account. You must promptly address suspected unauthorized access. Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, access another user's matter, or compromise the service or its providers.

Acceptable use

You may not use Disclosure unlawfully; infringe another person's rights; introduce malicious code; disrupt or overload the service; probe or circumvent security; reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits; or use generated content without the review required by your professional obligations.

Subscriptions

Disclosure Pro may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store. The price and billing period shown on the purchase screen apply. Payment is charged through your Apple account, and the subscription renews unless canceled through Apple before renewal. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refunds under its applicable terms. Features and free-use limits may change prospectively.

Storage, availability, and backups

The app is designed to store matter files locally or in the user's iCloud Drive rather than in a Disclosure-operated matter repository. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate copies, retention controls, and backups. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, successful synchronization, recovery of deleted content, or availability of AI, transcription, search, Apple, or network services.

Intellectual property

Disclosure and its software, branding, design, and service materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights in Disclosure are transferred to you. Your rights in AI-generated output may depend on applicable law and third-party terms.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Disclosure is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, privilege preservation, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Disclosure and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, confidentiality, privilege, opportunities, filings, or deadlines arising from the service. Aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Disclosure during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Disclosure at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful use, a security risk, nonpayment, or where needed to protect the service, its providers, or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Apple terms

If you obtain Disclosure through Apple, these Terms are between you and Disclosure's operator, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support except as required by law. Apple's applicable standard end-user license, App Store, iCloud, and payment terms may also apply.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively and will revise the effective date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions may be sent to support@example.com.
